Courtroom Services

Deputy Sheriffs in Courtroom Services are responsible for inmate management, courtroom decorum, and security in the courts and courthouse entrances.

Every person entering the courthouse is required to go through security and submit to a search.

Individuals that attempt to sneak in weapons, contraband, narcotics or other controlled substances are arrested.

Among the priorities of a courtroom deputy are securing inmates taken to court, protecting the judge from being the target of physical outbursts and ensuring civilians maintain proper courtroom etiquette.
