The vision statement of the department and our Web site is:
“The Youth in Cook County are safe, drug-free, healthy and knowledgeable.”

We will contribute to the fulfillment of this vision by:

• providing current and accurate information, through resources or direct service, within the following areas:

  Violence Prevention

  Youth Leadership

  Child Safety

• developing relationships with Cook County schools in order to better serve youth

• coordinating special projects for youth participation and recognition

• providing resources, when necessary, to other agencies, organizations and schools to encourage prevention and to develop a network of interested parties in the lives of youth
