VEHICLE STICKERS

Home > Press Page

Friday, June 26, 2009 — Vehicle stickers for all vehicles registered to homes and businesses in unincorporated Cook County must be purchased and properly displayed by July 1st, according to the office of Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart.

The fees for the annual stickers are: $40 for passenger cars, $50 for SUVs and $25 for motorcycles.  The stickers are free for handicapped residents, disabled veterans and senior citizens, 65 or older, and are valid for as long as the car remains with the same owner.  The fee for recreational trailers, including boat, snowmobile, horse and camping trailers is $30.

Anyone purchasing a vehicle sticker after July 1 will be required to pay twice its face value as a late penalty.  Stickers purchased after July 1 for handicapped residents, disabled veterans and senior citizens will be $25. Should a police officer ticket your vehicle for failing to properly display the sticker by July 1, a $75 fine will be imposed.

Vehicle stickers may be purchased from all Township Hall offices in Cook County.  The stickers are valid through June 30, 2010.
