HIGH SCHOOL REFEREE CHARGED WITH CHILD PORN

Home > Press Page

Thursday, Febuary 04, 2010 — A two-month long investigation has led to felony child pornography charges against an Arlington Heights man, according to the Office of Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart.

Larry Moser, 57, of the 600 block of West Burning Tree Lane, Arlington Heights, was charged with aggravated child pornography after a search warrant on his computer revealed more than 100 images of child pornography, many of which were of children under the age of 13. Many of the images were of graphic sexual acts involving those young children.

Moser, who identified himself to investigators as an executive in the insurance industry, is also an Illinois High School Association referee.  He turned himself in to Sheriff’s Police Child Exploitation Unit investigators Wednesday.  When confronted with the evidence against him, Moser reported to investigators he now wants to become a “crusader against child pornography.”

Moser appeared in Rolling Meadows bond court Thursday and received a $100,000 bond.  His next court date is March 25, 2010 at the Rolling Meadows Courthouse.
