RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES REPORTED IN UNINCORPORATED PALOS TOWNSHIP

Wednesday, June 03, 2009 — Cook County Sheriff’s Police are investigating a string of residential burglaries in Palos Township near unincorporated Palos Park.   Residents of this area, as well as the surrounding areas, are cautioned to be alert and report any suspicious individuals or activity to law enforcement authorities immediately.

   The burglaries have occurred during the daytime hours while the homeowners are away.  There have been no physical altercations or threat of violence associated with these burglaries.  Jewelry and small amounts of cash have been taken during these break-ins.  

   Neighbors have described possible suspects as a male white and a female white, both in their late 20’s or early 30’s.

   Sheriff’s Police are asking anyone with information on these burglaries to contact the Investigations Unit at (708) 865-4896.
