SHERIFF’S POLICE TO CONDUCT DUI CHECKPOINT IN STICKNEY TOWNSHIP

Monday, June 29, 2009 — Cook County Sheriff’s Police will conduct a random roadside safety checkpoint during the evening hours of Friday, July 3, 2009 in unincorporated Stickney Township, according to the office of Sheriff Thomas J. Dart.

   During the safety check, vehicles will be stopped randomly based on the flow of traffic.  Drivers will be screened for proper licensing, registration and any other violations while all vehicles will be checked for equipment and other violations.

   The Sheriff’s Random Roadside Safety Check Program is conducted regularly across Cook County in an effort to promote safe driving.
