SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO CONDUCT SPECIALIZED ENFORCEMENT PATROLS DURING
SUPER BOWL WEEKEND

—Cook County Sheriff’s Police will be conducting significant enforcement efforts tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday, focusing on seat belt violations, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said today.
During enforcement patrols on Dec. 28, Jan. 3 and Jan. 4, Sheriff’s Police issued 22 citations for seat belt violations, six for cell phone/texting use while driving, three for speeding, two for driving without insurance, and one for driving on a suspended or revoked license.
These patrols are all funded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation
