SHERIFF’S POLICE RECOVER NARCOTICS, GUN FROM ROBBINS HOME
Wednesday, May 13, 2009— Bond was set today for a Robbins man facing weapons and narcotics possession charges following an investigation into illegal drug sales, according to the Office of Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart.
Walter Wylie, 36, of the 13500 block of south Sawyer, was arrested Monday evening, after officers from the Sheriff’s Police Gang Unit executed a search warrant on his home. A fully-loaded, “tech-9” style handgun, three boxes of ammunition, nearly 500 grams of cannabis and more than $500 dollars in cash was seized as a result of the search warrant.
Wylie’s bond was set at $15,000 and his next court date is scheduled for June 1st.
