Home > Press Page

Monday, April 1, 2013Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced that his officers safely recovered a 1-month-old whose parents were hiding him from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS), who had custody of the infant.

Officers went to the 2800 block of South Pulaski Avenue in Chicago about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday after learning from their investigation that the 1-month old may be there. There was an existing child protection warrant for the infant to bring him back to IDCFS custody.

Pricilla GloriaThere was a strong possibility that the parents might take the child to Mexico.
The child’s mother, Pricilla Gloria, 29, had an existing warrant for failure to appear on a felony residential burglary charge from LaSalle County, IL.

Gloria was taken into custody by members of the Sheriff’s Central Warrant Unit.
The infant was taken to IDCFS.
