Tuesday, April 2, 2013
—Cook County Sheriff’s Police arrested a 22-year-old man for burglarizing three of his neighbors’ home in Maine Township, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said today.
Sheriff’s Police Detectives responded around 5:45 p.m. Thursday to a burglary in the 10000 block of Linda Lane. Someone forced open the door of the apartment when no one was home and took several items from the residence. During a canvass of the neighborhood, officers found a resident who told detectives a man named “Renzo” was in the area around the time of the burglary.
Upon further investigation, detectives learned that “Renzo” was Davon Miller, who is also known as Lorenzo Miller and lives in the 9900 block of Linda Lane.
Miller was located and questioned by Sheriff’s Police. During questioning, Miller admitted his involvement in the Thursday burglary and two others that had occurred earlier on nearby Holly Lane.
On Friday, felony charges were approved for Miller. Miller’s bond was set at $80,000 at a bond court hearing on Saturday, and he remains in custody at the Cook County Jail in lieu of bond.
