COOK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO HOST MOTORCYCLE RIDE TO SUPPORT VETERANS

Home > Press Page

Friday, May 28, 2010—The Cook County Sheriff’s Office will be honoring men and women serving in our Armed Forces this Memorial Day weekend by hosting its annual Law Enforcement Ride For Veterans on Sunday, May 30th.

Officers from numerous local police agencies will participate, bringing several hundred riders to the 84 mile journey which starts at the Bridgeview Courthouse at 11:00 a.m.  The ride winds through many southern and western suburbs and ends at Galways in Elmhurst where there will be food, music and a raffle for the riders.

The motorcycle ride, which includes police escorts, is now in its third year and is done to pay tribute to the men and women serving our country while also raising money for those injured while serving overseas.
