$500,000 BOND FOR MAN WHO ASSAULTED TEEN RELATIVE
Thursday, September 16, 2010— Bond has been set at $500,000 for a Park Ridge man who sexually assaulted a young teenage relative, Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced Thursday.
Diego Rodriguez, 30, of the 1900 block of Parkside Drive in Park Ridge, has been charged with predatory criminal sexual assault. The victim’s family notified Cook County Sheriff’s Police after the teen told them she did not want to spend any time alone with Rodriguez because he had assaulted her in the past. During her forensic interview, the victim told investigators that Rodriguez had sexually assaulted her on several occasions at a home in Maine Township last year.
When detectives interviewed Rodriguez, he admitted to the assaults. He appeared in Skokie bond court Wednesday.
The Department of Children and Family Services has placed the victim in the home of a relative while they conduct an investigation.
Rodriguez’ next court date is set for October 10th in Skokie.
