SHERIFF’S OFFICERS ARREST HUMAN TRAFFICKER FOLLOWING MISSING PERSON TIP

—The Cook County Sheriff’s Police VICE Unit arrested an Olympia Fields man Wednesday evening after finding him with a missing juvenile being promoted for prostitution.
Sheriff’s VICE Unit officers followed up on a tip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a missing juvenile involved in prostitution. During the investigation, officers discovered Internet advertisements for prostitution which included photos of the juvenile. Sheriff’s officers took Neal E. Price into custody at the Markham Courthouse without incident at 10:55 p.m. July 17. Price, 24, had the missing 17-year-old juvenile with him when he was arrested by police. Additionally, officers found a fully-loaded semi-automatic pistol in the trunk of his vehicle.
Price is being charged with promoting juvenile prostitution, promoting prostitution, possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card and possession of ammunition without a valid FOID card. He will appear in bond court tomorrow morning at the Criminal Courts Building, 2650 S. California Avenue, Chicago IL.
Sheriff Dart reminds the public that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty by the government in a court of law.
