—Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced today that the department’s Central Warrant Unit officers arrested a Chicago man who owes nearly $80,000 in past-due child support.
Sheriff’s Central Warrant Unit officers arrested Louis J. Palomino Jr, 55, Thursday morning after receiving a tip that he lived at an apartment in the 5600 block of South Kolin Avenue in Chicago.
He remains at Cook County Jail in lieu of a $500 bond. His next court date is scheduled for April 1 at the Daley Center.
The warrant was issued in 1999 for failure to make a scheduled court appearance in his child support case.
Palomino last made a child support payment in 2004. He owes $79,687 in past due child support payments for three children.
